The machine is designed to work in areas where the water depth is less than 2.0 meters. As the superstructure of the machine hydraulically lifts up, the undercarriage simultaneously widens out. While the machine is operating in water less than 2,0 m deep, the track units can be used for driving forward on the bottom. So the machine is not fully floating but, thanks to the unique pontoon construction, it is able to work on marshlands where traditional excavators cannot operate.
The optional side pontoons provide the necessary buoyancy for transfer on the water area. A special solution has been developed to control the pontoons, providing the machine with suitable width during transportation using only side-marker lamps and sufficient support to work without support outriggers.
In addition to the standart bucket, the machine comes with a long-reach boom of 12 metres outreach and a bucket size of 500 litres. Delivery also includes the standard backhoe for the Hyundai excavator.
As an option to the Big Float machines can be equipped with special attachemnts for pile driving, suction dredging and removal of aquatic vegetation. The manufacturer will be pleased to answer any questions concerning the machines and their application.
